About

This page is meant for me to tell you about me, so I could tell you that I have well over 25 years of employee relations and coaching, 7+ years HR recruiting, 20 years diversity leadership and 11 years operations management experience in addition to over 30 years church leadership, a degree in Journalism, years of writing, publicity etc. etc. The most important thing you need to know, however, is that what is written here is written with a heartfelt sincerity that you, the reader, develop the leadership skills and insight you need to take those you lead further than they are today and help them accomplish a new level of excellence and productivity. My desire is also that you, as a leader would learn to be the person others look to and speak of as one of the greatest mentors and most impactful leaders they have ever known; not the worst but the best!

Over the last 30+ years I have witnessed some of the most bizarre, well intended, sloppy, amusing, strategic, best and worst leaders one could ever know. I’ve worked for them. I’ve partnered with them. I’ve hired them. I’ve trained them. I’ve coached, corrected and comforted them. And to be honest I have even loathed a few. Whatever the relationship, I found and continue to find a place in my heart for every leader I have known because leadership is not easy. Whether we lead in a small business, a large corporation, a church setting, at home or in the community, it all requires skill and a coordination of competencies that one must draw from repeatedly and strategically from day one. Those who follow, show little or no mercy for the leader with little or no experience nor for the experienced yet overwhelmed. For this reason I write these pages to offer a glimmer of hope and a stream of insight for those willing to say, “I want to be the best leader I can be and I need all the help I can get.”

Whether you have the resources and the access for development opportunities or not, I want to help. Leadership is not for the squeamish nor for the faint of heart but at some point you’re going to either take the lead, choose a lead or be subject to one. With the right insights and exposure you can master that opportunity and improve the road you must travel, hopefully becoming one of the greatest mentors and most impactful leaders (or followers) anyone has ever known; not the worst but the best!
Welcome!
